ExpertRC has just released their new 16 Channel firmware for Corona module combo! (8 normal PWM outputs and all 16 channels on the PPM  and S.Bus output)
The New ExpertRC AFHSS (Advanced Frequency-hopping spread spectrum) gives you secure radio communications in 2.4Ghz band.  4 times more frequency channel and Up to a 20% gain in range over their original firmware.

The EE Firmware supports 8 standard servo outputs, and you can access all 16 channels by using the PPM port for the full 16 channels. Or you can use 2 receivers in combination and the normal PWM channels will sync 1-8 on the first receiver and 9-16 on the second receiver.

Binding Procedure

Binding is the process of uniquely associating a particular receiver to a transmitter module.
Binding generate unique TX ID and Frequency-hopping list.
A transmitter module can be bound to multiple receivers.
A receiver can only be bound to one transmitter module.
Follow the steps below to finish the binding procedure.
1. Connect the battery to the receiver while holding the F/S button on the receiver. Hold the button down while the RED LED  is not to be off.
2. Move away Transmitter at least 2 meters from Receiver.  Turn on the transmitter while holding the Bind button on the Corona module.

Release the button. The LED on the Corona module will flash indicating the transmitter is ready to bind to the receiver.
The RED LED on the receiver will ON, indicating the binding process is completed.
3. Turn off both the transmitter and the receiver.
4.Turn on the transmitter and connect the battery to receiver. The RED LED on the receiver indicates the receiver is receiving commands from the transmitter.
The receiver/transmitter module binding will not have to be repeated, unless one of the two is replaced.

Failsafe setting for receiver.

EE supports failsafe function for all channels. Follow the steps below to set failsafe positions for each channel:

1. Bind the receiver first and turn on both the transmitter and the receiver;
2. Move the controls to the desired failsafe position for all channels;
3. Press briefly the F/S button on the receiver (less than 1 second). The Red LED will flash twice, indicating the failsafe position has been set in the receiver.

Programming mode (Output mode setting)-

(If you continues to hold the button, then you enter to bind mode)

By default Receiver configure to Master and PWM mode (channel 1-8 is output 1-8 PWM )

To select:
PWM mode Master (1-8ch) – enter in programming mode and select 3, then enter in programming mode again and select 2 parameter

PWM mode Slave (9-16ch)- enter in programming mode and select 4, then enter in programming mode again and select 2 parameter

PPM mode 12ch (on 2ch) – enter in programming mode and select 3, then enter in programming mode again and select 1 parameter

PPM mode 16ch (on 2ch) and S.Bus output (on 8ch) – enter in programming mode and select 4, then enter in programming mode again and select 1 parameter
